Planning an event in Summer 2017? The SOGA Application is now open! Funding period for the Summer Semester will be June 1, 2017 - September 30, 2017.
The SOGA Board's primary purpose is for the responsible allocation of funds to student organizations serving students on the West Lafayette campus registered with the Student Activities & Organizations Office to support their activities, events, travel, and services. Such activities and events should enhance campus life, allow opportunities for leadership development, promote engagement with the community, and create a forum for the exchange of information and ideas. These funds have been made available annually by the Purdue administration and the Student Activites Fee; and therefore, this initiative should benefit the members of student organizations on the West Lafayette campus and support the mission and strategic plan of Purdue University, West Lafayette.
Application Due Friday, September 9, 2016 at midnight (funding Events October 12, 2016 - February 28, 2017)
Application Due Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:45pm (funding Events March 1 - May 31, 2017)
Application Due Saturday, April 3, 2017 at 11:55pm (funding Events June 1 - September 30, 2017)

VIII. APPLYING FOR SOGA FUNDS
A. General Application Guidelines
1. All applications must be complete and submitted by the appropriate deadline.
2. Each RSO is limited to one application per funding deadline.
- Application deadlines are posted on the SOGA page on the BoilerLink website (https://boilerlink.purdue.edu/).
- Any application submitted past the deadline for the current grant period will be held until the next grant period.
C. Confirmation of receipt of application will be sent to the RSO by email.
IX. ALLOCATION PROCESS
A. It is the responsibility of the RSO to clearly and thoroughly explain the request on the application. It is also the responsibility of RSO treasurers to answer any inquiries from the SOGA Board in a timely manner. These inquiries will typically be made by email. It is the treasurer's responsibility to check email frequently so prompt answers may be given to the SOGA Board.
B. The SOGA Board will review and discuss each application and decide specific funding allocations.
C. The SOGA Boards recommendation may be in the form of one of the following:
1. Fund the entire amount of the request
2. Deny the entire request
3. Fund a reduced amount of the request
4. Fund with specific restrictions
5. Fund a reduced amount of the request with specific restrictions
D. The SOGA Board will notify RSOs of their funding status via email to the RSOs treasurer and copy BOSO.
E. Only one application may be submitted per RSO per funding period.
Advisors must be either full-time faculty or administrative/professional staff at Purdue University or otherwise approved by the Student Activities and Organizations Office. Individuals classified as graduate student staff are not eligible to be advisors
to student organizations.
NOTE: All Advisors must read and sign the Advisor Agreement Form. At the end of this registration, you will be required to upload the signed Advisor Agreement Form.
