Solar Chapter Purdue
About
Solar Chapter Purdue is a nonprofit organization that helps underprivileged people in developing countries through sustainable methods. We have multiple chapters/categories of projects that focus on providing water access using solar energy, improving education resources, and empowering the local economy/community (women empowerment).
We have multiple branches across universities around the world. We collaborate between universities to tackle both technical and social challenges in every project. Students are able to gain experience that includes, but not limited to, hands-on fieldwork, developing a persuasive fundraising strategy, managing big events, and applying science/engineering knowledge to tackle problems in society.
Students from any major are very welcome to the organization! Solar Chapter officers will ensure the professional experience and personal growth of the members.
