Muslim Student Association
About
The Muslim Student Association (MSA) at Purdue is an active student organization for Muslim Boilermakers who hail from all parts of the world. MSA holds regular meetings and conducts social, educational, outreach, and community service events during the Fall and Spring semesters. Its biggest outreach program is called "Islamic Awareness Week" (IAW) held once a year. During the IAW, Muslim students share information about their faith, practices, and culture with their fellow students through various events. Famous speakers and scholars are also invited to give talks on important topics related to Islam.
In short, MSA provides a platform for Muslim students and all residents of the Greater Lafayette area to:
-deepen their personal connection with Islam and learn more about it
-socialize and build friendships through shared principles of brotherhood and sisterhood
-engage in the richness of Islamic faith and culture
-share the beauty of true Islam by spreading awareness and building bridges with the broader Purdue community
-engage in community service and charitable efforts throughout the semester
