The Purdue Grand Prix Foundation is proud to present the Race 60 of the Purdue Grand Prix. Join us for the 60th annual running of the Purdue Grand Prix. Dubbed "the Greatest Spectacle in College Racing", the Purdue Grand Prix is a 160 lap, 50 mile go-kart race, held at the Purdue Grand Prix Track located behind the Purdue Soccer Complex on McCormick Road. The event itself draws thousands of fans each year, both the local and wide communities, as well as students. Any Purdue Student can compete, but most teams are composed of housing units, clubs, or other student organizations. Over 50 teams yearly compete to qualify for the sacred 33 pole positions for the main event. The racing season is filled with excitement, trials and disappointment as teams vigorously compete on the gruesome road course, which is a million-dollar facility based on the World Kart Championship Track in Japan. All students and Public are welcomed. Ticket information and more details can be found at www.PurdueGrandPrix.orgSaturday, April 22nd, 2017. Gates open at 8:30 AM. Main event: 2:30 PM. (rain date, April 23rd)
