Event Time and Date
Purdue Collegiate FFA would like to host their annual scholarship pageant for Indiana high school FFA members on February 18, 2017. This event will allow those participants the chance to gain public speaking, interview skills and the chance to represent their home high school on Purdue's campus. While in attendance, those participants will be able to gain the "Purdue Experience" offered by the College of Agriculture, as we hope that all these participants will one day become future Boilermakers. We are going to be collecting money from each contestant as well as canned food items. The participant who brings in the most food will be crowned Mr./Ms. Philanthropy and all the collected food will be donated to the local food bank. With the money collected from the participants, a portion will be used as scholarship money (roughly $400-$800) for those court members for the given year. While the rest of the incoming funds will be used to cover costs like food, room reservations, crowns, sashes, etc. This event will be Purdue Collegiate FFA's main event to kick of National FFA Week which begins on the 18th as well.
