Botany Club

Botany Club

About

The Botany Club of Purdue is an organization aimed at providing you easy to understand information on your favorite house plants, plants you see on a daily basis, as well as fungi and crops. Everyone, of all academics, is welcome.

Our meetings will include a variety of indoor and outdoor activities including fun, simple lectures and laboratories based off real lectures from the Botany and Plant Pathology department to help you gain a better understanding of how plants play an important role in our society, as well as hikes and visits to conservatories.

Some of our favorite meeting topics include the Microbial World, where we eat food items made with microbes, floral designs, and a variety of hikes with different Botany Professors. Topics this year will range from a simple understanding of plant physiology, taxonomy, agronomy, and pathology and will be both fun and educational.

We will meet every other Tuesday at 7 pm in LILY Hall or at the outside location of our week activity.

Please email Kay Annunziata, 2024-2025 club president, at kannunzi@purdue.edu if you want to join the club or have any questions! <3
