About
The Purdue University Aikido Club is a Purdue club dedicated to training in Aikido, a non-competitive Japanese martial art with an emphasis on self-defense techniques that utilize the energy of the attacker.
The Purdue Aikido club is affiliated as a branch dojo of Aikido Shimboku Dojo (of Illinois) and a member of Aikido World Headquarters. The tools of training are the techniques developed by Morihei Ueshiba OSensei, Aikido's Founder. If you have any questions about our club, please feel free to contact us at jberges@purdue.edu
Also, if you are interested in joining one of our practices or seminars please print out our release waiver and fill out the forms to bring with you the first time you join us. This is appreciated since this form is mandatory for any new person.
