Acoustical Society of America / Audio Engineering Society, Purdue Chapter
About
The Acoustical Society of America (ASA) is a world-renowned scientific society in acoustics, dedicated to increasing and diffusing knowledge of acoustics and its practical applications. The Audio Engineering Society is the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology. Founded in the United States in 1948, the AES has grown to become an international organization that unites audio engineers, creative artists, scientists and students worldwide by promoting advances in audio and disseminating new knowledge and research.
This club is the local student chapter for both organizations. It exists to bring together students from all disciplines with interest in these fields and give them a community to explore their passions. We tour studios, performance spaces and research labs, host professional guest speakers, hold hands-on workshops throughout the week and provide exclusive opportunities for members to engage in the world of audio and acoustics.
